A Beautiful Dark

by Jocelyn Davies

OMG! This book will be the next movie saga! This book remind me so much to the twilight trilogy except there is no vampires and no werewolves lol. There are two handsome guys fighting for a girl though. These two are not some regular high school guys, these are different in another way, they have a special assignment. Skye is a girl with plans, she knows that if she wants to make it for Columbia University she needs to work for it. She was doing great until these two guys showed up to her life. She is torn between these two handsome and totally different from one another. Asher is dark, spontaneous, and wild, but Devin brings her calm, care and he is fair. There is a reason why they came looking for her, a mystery, a purpose. I seriously loved this first book, of course I am reading part 2 and 3. I can really picture that these trilogy would make an excellent movie saga.

This would be my Asher

And this my Devin (Douglas Booth)

Tangled

Tangled by Emma Chase

This was an awesome book!! It is hard to explain what is it about, it is a romance book, it has some steamy parts, not so much to call erotica, but it was very good. First I love that it was a guy telling the story, now, wait a minute! I have always say that I don't like to read books with the guys POV. But this book is different, because this is the first book of a series, there is no girl telling the story first. Another thing is that the author really knows how guys talk about, or even think about. I definitely believed that it was a guy telling the story. Second, the book was really funny and easy to read. I loved how the author mixed romance and comedy, I totally pictured the characters  in my mind, I think it will make a cool movie. I finished the book within hours, which I hardly ever do now, with that I tell you that much. I loved it!! If you are in mood of a light, romance and funny read, this is the one.

Easy

Easy is a great book by Tammara Webber

It's always good to read a different kind of book that doesn't involve a lot of sex, and this is one of them.  Jacqueline has just broken up from her longtime boyfriend, she is sad and depressed so she decides to get out of a frat Halloween party, on her way to the her truck Buck a schoolmate follows her and tries to rape her, but Lucas comes just in time to rescue her. Later on, she starts to notice Lucas everywhere, at her favorite coffee shop and even a class. What she didn't know was that he has always been there, but she has never notice anybody else but her ex handsome and popular ex Kennedy. Now that her life has turned around she she decides to get back to her feet in a class that she failing, and with the help of her online tutor she gets to do it. While she feels an attraction to her online tutor, she also starts to get feelings for Lucas. At the end you find out that Lucas is keeping some deep secrets. This is a really awesome book if you are in the mood of some romance but not erotic book, this is a great option.

Four

Four is the newest book from the Divergent series from Veronica Roth

This book is about how Tobias became Four, this is his part of the story and how he became Dauntless. The book was really well written, a really easy and fast read. Like I mention before, I don't personally like to read the same story from somebody else's perspective. I think it is a little boring specially if it's the male character who is telling the story. But I liked this book, I think it was really awesome for Veronica to give us more of Four. I guess a lot of people started to like him because of the movie, but I have always like him since the books, and of course I wanted to know more of him. This books describes him really well, you understand his personality a lot more. The book also contains two new scenes that were not in the Divergent book.

Now that I read this book it got me thinking that some of the major people from the Divergent book and the "Four" book were not in the Divergent movie. I don't know the reasons why the producers decided not to include Tobia's best friend Zeke and his brother Uriah, but in this book they also played a big role.

Lost & Found

After the disappointment of the previous book Beauty from Surrender, I read this amazing new adult book called Lost & Found by Nicole Williams. I found this book for free on my iBooks! I believe there is a also a second book, but I think that one you'll have to pay for it.

Lost & Found is about this "troubled" girl Rowen and a gorgeous and hardworking cowboy Jesse.

I  found a good review by the author on amazon, that explains exactly what the book is about. Here is the link if you want to take a look or if you want to get it for free!

So here it is...

"After numbing pain for the past five years with boys, alcohol, and all-around apathy, she finds herself on a Greyhound bus to nowhere Montana the summer after she graduates high school. Her mom agreed to front the bill to Rowen’s dream art school only if Rowen proves she can work hard and stay out of trouble at Willow Springs Ranch. Cooking breakfast at the crack of dawn for a couple dozen ranch hands and mucking out horse stalls are the last things in the world Rowen wants to spend her summer doing.

Until Jesse Walker saunters into her life wearing a pair of painted-on jeans, a cowboy hat, and a grin that makes something in her chest she’d thought was frozen go boom-boom. Jesse’s like no one else, and certainly nothing like her. He’s the bright and shiny to her dark and jaded.

Rowen knows there’s no happily-ever-after for the golden boy and the rebel girl—happily-right-now is a stretch—so she tries to forget and ignore the boy who makes her feel things she’s not sure she’s ready to feel. But the more she pushes him away, the closer he seems to get. The more she convinces herself she doesn’t care, the harder she falls.

When her dark secrets refuse to stay locked behind the walls she’s kept up for years, Rowen realizes it’s not just everyone else she needs to be honest with. It’s herself

Aftershock/Afterburn

by Sylvia Day

These were two short ebooks, that now are printed in one book. I have had this book at my library for a while and it was until yesterday that I started reading and I finished right away. Whoot whoot! it was actually really good just a little different from the Crossfire trilogy, same as for excitement! This book is about Gianna a restaurateur who is working for a large company in NY. Gianna comes from a very close italian family, and her job is her life until of course a man comes to her life. Jax is Gianna's ex lover who left her two years ago and now due to her new job, he has also come back to her life. But that is not all, he is making Gianna's life miserable and also full of romanticism and love! Really short book compare to the trilogies that I've been reading lately, and I kind of want to read more! I really recommend these books if you're up for something quick and entertaining.

Take A Chance

Awe How I miss Abbi Glines!!

This is her latest book from the Rosemary series!! So if you like and follow her books, then this is one of the most anticipated ones. I was waiting for this one Whoot whoot!!

This book is about Grant and Harlow ooh…and Nan. Who doesn't love Grant? He was there since the very beginning, from the very first book, and first page of Fallen too Far? Yes! Grant was the one who surprised Blair on her truck, and she pulled out a gun to him. I have always love him, he has a little something, we know he is hot, he has long hair (which I love), he is funny, and now after this book I love him more!

There has been a little bit of his story  in almost all the books, but the one before this one, had a little bit more of him, and when he met Harlow, Kiro's precious girl. (Kiro, is the main singer of Slack Demon). Obviously I knew that something was going to happen between Grant and Harlow, but there is always Nan, always wanting what everybody has. Remember that Nan is the other unwanted daughter of Kiro's. This book is everything that I was hoping for. There is mystery A LOT of mystery on Harlow's life. There is lots of drama because of Nan, and there is a lot of HOT and steamy parts throughout . I loved this book! You know I really love this Rosemary series, and it's really hard to pick one of the books, but this book specially this one of the top ones of the list!!!
I will say that I was hoping for a better cover. So this is my options or how I picture Grant on my head.

Ooh this imagination of mine lol

I am Ruined

Ruin by Rachel Van Dyken

OMG!! I finished reading this book last night and I LOVED it!!!!

This is not a naughty or sexy book. This is actually a really sad story :( I am not going to spoil it for you because this is one book that you have to read. It is a really easy to read, love the story and all the characters in it. This book is really well written. It kind of has the same feel as The Fault in Our Stars it is a sad but funny story. I really don't want to talk about the book because you have to read it!!. I am going to say though, that it had me into tears at the end of the book. Just a beautiful book!!! And take a look at the cover!!! This book has A LOT of  reviews in the Goodreads website Click Here and it is always on the top of the list for most romantic, best books, must read books. Oh! and next book is coming up March 4th, at least I don't have to wait long :D

THE FAULT IN OUR STARS

by John Green

This is another book that I chose for my readbox, and it is also being made into a movie for next year.  I am amazed by this book!. I have never read a book like this one, it reminds me of my sister's keeper in a way and some other movies. This is funny yet a sad book, the story it's just something that you don't hear very often, and I love this kind of books that are unexpected.

This book is about Hazel a seventeen year old who has terminal cancer for most of her life. Apparently, she has lived more than what she was supposed to.She doesn't go out, she doesn't go to school anymore, basically not a normal teenager life. Her mom wants her to have a "normal" life, and ends up sending her to  a Cancer Support Group where she meets Augustus Waters, and he changes her life around. It is really hard to explain exactly what happens with this book.  It is really fun and sad at the same time, and this book will get your emotions up and down so watch out. I literally cried like a baby almost at the end of the book! Ohh  and let me tell you the ending is really unexpected.  I fully, truly recommend this book and I think it will make a great movie. I really cannot wait to watch it.

if i stay

If I stay by Gayle Forman

Remember my readbox? click here Basically If I stay is one those books that I chose that are coming up as movies next year. Because I chose this book for my readbox it is only fair that I read it right? lol I was actually reading two different books this week one of them is the post before this one or go here Long Way Home  and The fault in our stars (I haven't finish this one) and it is also another one of my readbox selection. I was reading Long Way Home at home on my cellphone, and The Fault in Our Stars at work, but yesterday I forgot this book at home so I started reading if I stay (I hope I didn't confused you) so basically once I started reading if i stay I couldn't stop, thank God it was really slow at work so I finished it in a couple of hours. You see how amazing is to work in a library so when it's not busy get a book and read it. I think this actually talks good about me, because it means that you care for books, and  I utilize the books from my library (that's what I think anyway). Now, back to the book, it is amazing! Mia is a musician, so is her father, bother and her boyfriend Adam. Mia plays the cello, dad and brother the drums, and Adam is the main voice and main guitar from a local band that are finding their way to success. One snowy day Mia and her family go for a drive to see some friends of the family, but they suffer a terrible accident which causes Mia to be dead? or alive? this is something she needs to find out. Mia is out there with no extra powers or anything, but she is able to see everything around her while she lays down in bed at the hospital, with little possibilities of survival. This is book is a really easy read, really interesting, and I wasn't expecting any of what happened at all. I fully recommend the book, if you like it you won't stop reading it, plus it is coming up in a movie and you will already know the story. This is one of the things what I like about reading books, that you get to find out what happens in the movie before people who do not read. Plus, I am really desperate woman and I don't like surprises! so I like to know that I know what's going to happen before everyone else hehe.

This Man Confessed

Ohh Freaking Ending!! I don't curse but man I want to right now!!!!! What an ending!!!!

Ohh my God, I really have no words right now! I just finished reading this third and last book of the Man series by Jodi Ellen Malpas. I seriously never, never , ever read a book that tortured me like this one. This plot!  I kind of had a clue of what was going on, but the ending really surprised me. Ava and Jesse's relationship goes above and beyond, full of drama until the very end. I just cannot believe how Ava took all of  that! I don't think I'll be able to handle like she did, it was just too much. Like I said before Jesse is full of secrets, women and drama! and all of this is following and torturing Ava. My respects goes to Ava 100% for being a strong woman. This book was the longest out the three and a little quiet at the beginning. They were doing ok, but you know every good book has to have an amazing plot and this one really nailed it. I cannot tell you enough that you have to read this book, really this is a must! Such a great series, really a favorite of mine. I am still shocked!

Fallen too Far

Awee I just finished reading Fallen Too Far! man!! how I love this book, this is definitely one of my favorites, if is not my most favorite book!!! You know this is not the kind of book that you can only read once, this book can be read over and over. Fifty Shades of Grey is also one of those books that you just don't get tired of reading. Even though you know the whole story, you still get excited every time you read it. That's what makes a good book, to an unforgettable book. I actually read Breathe a couple of weeks ago also from Abbi Glines, this book however was more intense! I kept telling Jasmine that this book had some more to it, like more explicit episodes from Jax's part. I also love that book so much, and now even more. I am almost done reading This Man Confessed book # 3 from the Man Series (another of my favorites).

Beneath This Man

This is book # 2 after "This Man" by Jodi Ellen Malpas

Let me tell you this book is insane!! Better than the 1st book, it is just SO amazing!! I am really reading Fifty Shades times 2!! There is a lot going on with Ava and Jesse, lots of drama, lots of fights and way more sex! Really if you were amazed of how many times Mr. Gray and Ana were together, I think this couple are doing double the work! If you read my post for the first book then you know that Jesse owns a Sex House, and there is a lot going on there. A lot of secrets that Ava finds throughout the whole book! I seriously wanted to punch Jesse so many times, I love him, don't get me wrong, but he is seriously a case! There were moments that I wanted Ava to seriously go far away from Jesse!! This is an amazing book, I highly recommended if you like this same kind of books. I will advise though that you are going to get your nerves high up! There are some really good moments, like Ava asking Jesse for his age throughout the book, specially the part where Ava finds out how old he really is. I love this second book a lot! You will love Jesse even though he is a big arse!

* Remember when I described Ava and I said that she was size 10, well I wasn't thinking that they are from the UK so the US size is 6. I was really thinking she was a bit chunky like me ^-^

This Man

Wow!!! This book is intense! I really felt like as if I was reading Fifty Shades, but a different story. The author Jodi Ellen Malpas writes really similar to E. L. James, really!! so you must imagine what kind of book this is!!! Well  Jodi is also British but she uses it a little more of the English slang, (I guess) I didn't understand some of the words, but thanks to the technology of eBooks, I just highlighted the word and got the definition :D
"This Man" is about Ava (an interior designer) and Jesse a super mega rich, hot, over protected, charming, confident, conceited man!!! he has everything!!!! but on the bad side (if you see it like this) he owns a freaking sex house!! which brings a lot of problems to their "relationship". Ava  has her own things too, she is a size 10 but really confident as well, she is a amazing interior designer and has worked with powerful people such as Jesse. She knows that Jesse is trouble and wants to get away, but he is really, really intense and do not want to let Ava go!!

I love the book!! this is the first  of three books and I'm already reading # 2 "Beneath This Man". One thing though this book is really long! 2, 200 something pages on an eBook! I don't remember how many for the "Fifty Shades" but it is worth it!! so worth it!!

I'm here

I haven't  written anything in a while!!! I guess I still cannot get over the last books I've read. I just haven't find any books that really interest me. That's horrible isn't???? I have been so busy this past weeks, I did however read some books or at least part of some books. I started reading Alligiant by Veronica Roth, I actually had that book pre order and I was so excited about it, but then I read something that I was not suppose to read in Jasmine's blog and I just lost all interest!! I know is my fault but i couldn't wait!! :(

I did read a book called Finding Katie, this book is anonymous but it was edited by Beatrice Sparks same person who edited Go ask Alice. What can I say about this book? I cannot say that I like it because everything that happened was not good. This is real life, all this things happened to a real person. What I did like about the book is that it actually has a happy ending. Katie was born in a rich family, she has always have everything except for her parents love. Her dad was a well know producer from Hollywood and was always busy and abusive. Katie's mom was a drug addict and didn't care for her daughter at all. One that the father took her and left her in the ugly side of LA and like that Katie became homeless. Later on she was found by a social worker and placed her in a foster home and her life just became harder. The one thing about her is that she started to help the other foster kids and by that it helped her to find that meaning in her life. This is a good a book, there is a lot to learn. It is amazing how we don't realize the need for this kids, there are a lot thousands of kids without a home, specially the older kids.  I would definitely recommend this book, it is a hit to reality.

I also read Breathe by Abbi Glines. This is book is one of my absolute favorites! This was actually the very first book that I read from Abbi, and after that I just got obsessed with her books.

Some news!! I am so excited because tomorrow 11/15/13, Jasmine and I are going to see Colleen Hoover and Abbi Glines!!!

Finding Cinderella

by Colleen Hoover!!

I love this short book!!! Remember Daniel from Hopeless? Daniel is Holder's crazy and funny best friend, well this is his book! Now, you remember when the school administration forgot to schedule him for a 5th period class and he used to hide in the maintenance closet to takes naps?? Then if you do, you must remember a girl who bumped inside the closet and at they end up making out. In this book Daniel tries to find this girl but he has not success and ends up with Val. All this is until Six (Sky's best friend) comes back from Europe and all that changes. Awww!! I loved this book is so funny because Daniel is such a character hehe so funny. The ending is such breathtaking and unfinished! I want more!!

Guess what? Colleen Hoover, Abbi Glines and Jamie Mcguire are coming to my State, and I am going to see them with my friend Jasmine Woot Woot!! I actually need to buy some of the books so they can sign it :D I own most of the books online, but I don't have any hard covers :(

This week reads

As many of you know that Abbi Glines is one, if is not my very favorite author of all times!! Some of you know that I work at a Library and I have never been able to find any of Abbi's books in hard cover. I have always read all of  her books in kindle or iBooks. One day I requested hers and Colleen Hoover's books to the manager from another branch, she told me that those books were YA-ish  and she didn't order those books, so I left it like that. The other day I was bored at work and I wanted something to read, and I search for these authors and to my surprise I found that there was a copy of the Vincent Boys from Abbi and Slammed by Colleen Hoover in the branch were I have had requested them. I was so excited that I right away put to the books on hold so they could be shipped to me to the branch were I work at. So one of the books that I read this week is The Vincent Boys by Abbi Glines and as usual I consumed that book in a couple of hours. I love how Abbi Glines writes, I love every one of her books. This is a different book from her series, it is a different story, but it is good as always. The Vincent boys is about Sawyer, Beau and Ashton, three best friends since childhood. Sawyer and Beau are cousins, one is the Prince charming cousin and the other one is the trouble maker. As they grow up, they start noticing that Ashton is becoming a beautiful girl and of course both of them fall for her. Ashton and Sawyer end up together but there is always something missing in their relationship, everything is the same, a perfect relationship between the two of them. One day Sawyer leaves town for vacations and Beau and Ashton start hanging out together and whatever Ashton was missing starts getting filled up by Beau's charisma and dangerous persona.  This is a great book and I of course downloaded the second book right away after I finished this one. The other read of this week is The Vincent Brothers. At the end of the first book, there is a big surprise that these two cousins find out and that leads to this new book. This other book is also really good, but I cannot tell you any of it because I will be letting you know what happened in the first book. :) These two books are a great read and I fully recommend them to you.

Also one highlight of the week is that I wrote a comment on Abbi Glines' facebook page and she commented it back with a lovely "<3"

Against the Ropes

by Sarah Castille

This book, oh my.... I loved it!!!! This is a new book that we got at the library, and I immediately fell in Love with the cover.  This is a mix of some of my favorite books, like Fifty Shades, Bared to You and Noah!! Yeap you hear it right!! a mix of a beautiful, boxer, rich, sexy, playful, mysterious and impatient guy and his name is Max aka Torment. The big surprise here is Makayla the girl who falls for this guy. Makayla is also so close to reality, she describes herself as curvy, lazy, inexperience and funny. OMG I couldn't stop laughing with this book! I love her character I love the way she is, she is so much like you and me. She is so funny and she made me laugh so much with the way she is.  This book definitely became at the top of my favorite books! Jasmine I know you will love it :)

2 Free books

Hello there!

This past week I read two really good FREE books. I have downloaded those books a while back and since I didn't know what to read so I read those, and there were really amazing!

The first book is "The rock star's daughter" by Caitlyn Duffy. This book is about Taylor, a girl whose mom just died and she gets send to live with her father, who is a well known Rock Star.  This is not a typical book and it actually does not have a predicted ending.  Taylor accompanies her dad in this Tour together with her step mother and step sister, but this new life does not suit her at all. The only things that keeps her going is this guy who works selling t-shirts at the tour. Being the daughter of a rock star is not easy for Taylor, and there are a lot of problems and drama that comes with it. This is a short book, but it is really good.

Second book is called "Promise you won't tell? by John Locke. This book is amazing!!!!! This could definitely be a movie! The book starts with Riley Freeman, a girl who suspects got molested in one of her friends sleepover.  Riley seeks help from Dani Ripper a young, beautiful and bright private investigator (as she describes herself), and that's it. I can't tell no more, this book has a twist in the story, and it is surprising good! Full of drama and and shocking ending!! This is a must read book.
