7th Anniversary

Hello!

Today is my husband's and I, 7th Anniversary, we have been married for only two years but it's been seven years since we first went out. I met Seth when I was 18,  at my church, his parents were the ones who introduced us. It was Sunday, and his parents were going to have a barbeque in their house, his father came up to me and invited me, but I was new in the church and I didn't know anybody so I didn't go. The following week, his mother came up to me and invited me to her house for dinner. It was kind of weird I didn't know her and of course I was about to say no, but another woman from church told me that her husband cooks really good that I should go, I looked at my mom, I wanted her to say no for me but she agreed. I don't really remember what else happened that day. I don't remember what I ate and I don't remember talking to Seth. What I remember was when Carmen told Seth that I was coming over and he gave me an stinky face, but I didn't feel bad at all, we did exchange e-mails after all.  After a couple of weeks we went out for the first time, he took me to the mall, he was so quiet all the time that I felt bad, I thought that maybe his parents obligated him to go out with me, we passed by the Apple store and the new iPod Nano recently came up, I told him that I wanted one and he just said that they were nice. The following Sunday when we were at church, he asked me to go with him to the parking lot and he gave me a little box, I opened it and it was the iPod Nano! Of course I told him that I couldn't accepted but he insisted, so I took it. We started dating on January 29th, 2006. All this years have been great, I couldn't ask for anything else. We are so different, he is so patient with me, he is so funny, he makes me laugh all the time, I love him because of that. I also love when he gives me my daily massages and when he cooks for me. He is the greatest husband, I couldn't ask for anybody else. Clearly, he is the one, God send him to me. I love you Seth Ivan Ramos.

Snowing

Hi there,

Is snowing today! I love the snow, I love the cold and the winter clothing. What I don't like about that is that sometimes I have to be stuck at home. Right now, me, my husband and my two year old daughter are living at my in laws house. I know there is a lot of things that I could do while I am here, but this is not my house and I don't feel comfortable changing things around just because I am bored. I love interior decorating, I love to be creative, but since I don't have a place to do it, I get bored. The reason why we are living here is because I can't find a full time job. I work some hours during the week at HPL, I work for the citizenship program, for people who are permanent residents or green card holders and would like to become U.S. citizens. I love what I do, I also help students to register for ESOL classes, I meet people from all over the world. I love seeing students when they first get to their first classes and seeing improve week by week. It feels great, being a little part of their success. I have a Paralegal associates and I would love to work in an Immigration office because I want to continue helping immigrants to be able to stay in this country legally.  I keep praying for that Dream Job for me.

Introducing myself.

Hello there, my name is Veronica. I was born in Cd. Juarez Chihuahua, Mexico. I came to United States about 9 years ago, when I was 16.  Coming to a new Country was a lot harder than I thought, I always imagine myself living in United States but I didn't really think about learning a different language. I always liked to listen radio in English, I enrolled myself in English courses at school and outside school. I remember my dad speaking English to me,  and I always thought that it was so beautiful to be able to understand another language. After I came to CT and I enrolled to school, I met people from all over the world, people who had been going through the same hard time as me, trying to adjust to a different, everything! After a couple months I met Giuliana, one of my best friends now, she is from Peru she is about two years younger than me. I also met Joanne, she is from Puerto Rico and she is about my age.  We all three came to United States about the same time, Joanne and I graduated in 2006 and Giuliana a year after. I love them! Giuliana just gave me today her Save the date for her wedding, she is getting married with my long time friend Henrry, they are getting married on July 4th this year.
