Makeup

Yeah, I think it was about time to finally share some of the stuff that I have learn about makeup. After all the YouTube videos and magazines and all the good stuff, this is what I've learn. I think I have a little bit of everything, I don't have a lot but I have a mix from professional and expensive makeup to drugstore makeup. The difference about these two is the price only, we could find some good stuff at the drugstore. Ok, I will show you some of the makeup foundations that I have and I will review it for you. These for example:
L'Oreal true match, Cover Girl clean whipped crème and M.A.C. pro longwear foundation.

1. L'Oreal true match is really good! I have the W5 I think it might be a little too light, next time I'll buy the W5 1/2 or the W6 (Ulta.com has those 1/2). I bought mine at CVS for $10.99, and Walgreens has it for the same price however, Target has it for $8.99. It last all day and looks natural, this is what I wear everyday.

2. Cover Girl whipped cream cost me $8.79 at CVS. I like it, but my face gets really oily during the day, I have to apply powder during thorough the day.

3. M.A.C. the only wrong thing about this is the price hehe it cost $31 at the MAC store, but I actually found another store that sells them. The Clinton outlets has a small makeup store, kind of like Sephora or Ulta that has the good stuff but way cheaper. I saw this one for $17! almost half of price. I love this foundation! it last all day and it looks really natural, it doesn't get my face oily. I kind of use this on special occasions now, since I'm  almost done with it or on Sundays when I want to look flawless :)

I like CVS because it usually gives you money back, I buy something and it gives me like some cvs bucks and I could re-spend it on something else. One time I got $20 cvs bucks! Actually my new makeup store is Target! they have really good deals. Almost $2 difference on that L'Oreal true match and my new favorite lip balms Maybelline color Whisper for $5.99 and CVS has those for $7.99 so Target has better prices.  Actually you'll be surprise that Bed Bath and Beyond has the same price as Target! who would of thought!! really, they have everything! even I found this real Techniques brush for $7.99 (Ulta has it for 8.99)

Isabel Allende

Do you know who Isabel Allende is? Well, she is really well know  Spanish author. Why the heck didn't I know about her??? She is amazing!! I know I have been using that word a lot lately, but I mean it. I actually need to start reading more Spanish books and Spanish authors. I read this book call Amor, and this book it's full of stories from all her books divided in 4 different topics. The first one is call Amor, the second one is Primer Amor, third one is Pasion and Celos, Amores Contrariados y por ultimo la Madurez. The book made me laugh since the very first page, it is really entertaining! If you read Spanish this is a good book to read, or you could read one by one. She also has her books translated in English.

Losing Hope

Yeah Losing Hope!! I finally read this beautiful book, also by Colleen Hoover

Losing Hope is a sequel or Holder's POV of Hopeless, one of my very very favorite books! I said  a sequel because the beginning is a little different, it has more to it. It actually starts when they were kids and when Hope got taken. For those of you who haven't read Hopeless, I really encourage you to do it ASAP. It is an amazing book, it is so real, so sad although it makes you happy at the end. It is an amazing story very different from all the book that I have read. This book is not a disappointment, the beginning makes a lot more sense, you learn to love Holden and understand him a lot more. At the end of the book it has a letter from Les (Holden's twin sister) that explains why she did what she did. I am not telling anymore, because some of you need to read it!  Amazing!

Cont..

This Girl

This book is the third book of the Slammed Series by Colleen Hoover. Actually this book is Will's POV of the first book. Will and Lake are already married, and while in the Honeymoon  Will starts to share his part of the story since they both met. I love this part when they are in the honeymoon, it's so nice to read that they are doing great, I mean they are a great couple that were destined for each other. I actually posted a blog about this series a while back, and these two books are seriously good. Ok, so Will is telling his part of the story while Lake gets all this emotions back and it is really fun to read. I like the part that Will finds out about Julia's cancer. I actually didn't know by reading the first book, that he already knew about her cancer way before Lake. The only thing that I didn't like about the book, is that I can't understand why Will thinks so much hehe. Ok, the thing is that, Will seems to think so much because you read a lot of his thoughts until he finally says something to Lake. I don't think I am saying this right, but I am not the only one that thought about this. My friend Jasmine read this book as well, and we both think that Will seems to think a lot and not really saying much. You would have to read the book to understand what I am saying hehe. I did like the book, maybe not as much as the first two books but I did like it.

New House

Nop, it's not mine :( but my parents bought a house. I have been really busy helping remodeling and my new job, that I haven't been able to write on my blog. I have been reading though and this is a summary of the books that I have read.

I don't really remember the order of the books, but here we go!

Young House Love by Sherry and John-This is not a novel, this book is an amazing book if you are redecorating your home! Really amazing I love it! Really easy and cheap ways to remodel your house. This couple have been remodeling their homes, and they actually share the pictures of the updates of the rooms on their blog. So, I guess they decided to come up with a book full of ideas of what to do. I love remodeling, I am not a pro but I am not afraid of trying things. That's why I love the book because they show step by step what to do and where to buy the material. They also collaborated with other bloggers that shared their ideas. Really cool book! Here is their blog if you want to check it out: http://www.younghouselove.com/
I actually found the book at my library :) Those are the benefits of working in a library hehe

Now, for the makeup fans like me! I actually found these two books at my library as well for makeup. These books show you how to use makeup, what works best for your skin, what colors etc.... Yeah I am a weirdo hehe, but I love wearing makeup and I like to know how to use it and what to buy (don't tell my husband). I actually have done makeup to my sister and her friends for Prom. On July one of my best friends got married and I did her hair and makeup as well. Like I say I am not a pro, but reading books and watching makeup tutorials on YouTube help a lot! These are the titles of these two books that I recommend for beginners like me: Sephora: The Ultimate Guide to Makeup, Skin, and Hair from the Beauty Authority and Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual: For Everyone from Beginner to Pro (sold at Walmart or loan it from your library)
