Beautiful Disaster

Ok well, I remember a long time ago, (probably last year) that I tried reading this book. For some reason it didn't work out so much, and I don't know why. I decided to add this book to my TBR list once again, after I went to a signing last year with my friend Jasmine, Colleen Hoover, Abbi Glines and Jamie McGuire. I saw that a lot of people actually went to see Jamie, then I figured that her book was good so I kept it on my list. I loved that book! I mean I don't want to say that it's one of my favorites, but it is right there on the edge. The book is about this hot, flirty, cute, nerdy Travis Maddox....did I mention, he is also a street fighter! oh yeah oh yeah!

Abbi Abernathy is the new girl in Eastern University, she meets Travis for the first time in an underground fight. She happens to be really close to where Travis was fighting, that when he punched the other guy in the nose, all the blood got to Abbi's clothes, and this is the moment that they both saw each other for the first time. Travis is well known at the university for being a casanova actually there is a rumor that he has gone out with about half of the school girls. Abbi doesn't gets charm by his looks right away (I loved her character) she is a smart ass, she doesn't stay quiet and she is really funny. Maybe this is the same reason that caught Travis' attention for her. She doesn't go easy on him of course, and I liked that, she actually has bigger problems to deal with, like her father, money and luck yes luck! you get to find out about if you read this book. Although the book was kind of long, it was really good, the book is really original and does not compared to other books. I understand now why people loved it.

Easy

Easy is a great book by Tammara Webber

It's always good to read a different kind of book that doesn't involve a lot of sex, and this is one of them.  Jacqueline has just broken up from her longtime boyfriend, she is sad and depressed so she decides to get out of a frat Halloween party, on her way to the her truck Buck a schoolmate follows her and tries to rape her, but Lucas comes just in time to rescue her. Later on, she starts to notice Lucas everywhere, at her favorite coffee shop and even a class. What she didn't know was that he has always been there, but she has never notice anybody else but her ex handsome and popular ex Kennedy. Now that her life has turned around she she decides to get back to her feet in a class that she failing, and with the help of her online tutor she gets to do it. While she feels an attraction to her online tutor, she also starts to get feelings for Lucas. At the end you find out that Lucas is keeping some deep secrets. This is a really awesome book if you are in the mood of some romance but not erotic book, this is a great option.

Rush too Far

by Abbi Glines

I  had this book pre-ordered a while back but I wasn't that excited about it for some reason . Whenever I read the same book but with the other character POV I don't usually like them. Maybe because I already know the story and it is kind of weird to read it again but in somebody else's head i guess. The only book that I didn't mind reading again was Hopeless/Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover, I guess that's because that was an excellent story and they both were really strong characters with strong stories behind them.  Another thing is that I do like more being in a chick's head, I guess I do understand that we have a huge imagination and make things up . But it is kind of hard for me to think that guys are think that much and say too little like in this case with Rush. To be honest in the original book Fallen too Far, Blair was the one who speak the most she was the main character, the only part that Rush talk was on the intimate parts! I love Rush I still do, but this book was not what I expected. I feel bad about it because I love Abbi Glines but this book just didn't do it for me.

Take A Chance

Awe How I miss Abbi Glines!!

This is her latest book from the Rosemary series!! So if you like and follow her books, then this is one of the most anticipated ones. I was waiting for this one Whoot whoot!!

This book is about Grant and Harlow ooh…and Nan. Who doesn't love Grant? He was there since the very beginning, from the very first book, and first page of Fallen too Far? Yes! Grant was the one who surprised Blair on her truck, and she pulled out a gun to him. I have always love him, he has a little something, we know he is hot, he has long hair (which I love), he is funny, and now after this book I love him more!

There has been a little bit of his story  in almost all the books, but the one before this one, had a little bit more of him, and when he met Harlow, Kiro's precious girl. (Kiro, is the main singer of Slack Demon). Obviously I knew that something was going to happen between Grant and Harlow, but there is always Nan, always wanting what everybody has. Remember that Nan is the other unwanted daughter of Kiro's. This book is everything that I was hoping for. There is mystery A LOT of mystery on Harlow's life. There is lots of drama because of Nan, and there is a lot of HOT and steamy parts throughout . I loved this book! You know I really love this Rosemary series, and it's really hard to pick one of the books, but this book specially this one of the top ones of the list!!!
I will say that I was hoping for a better cover. So this is my options or how I picture Grant on my head.

Ooh this imagination of mine lol

Fallen too Far

Awee I just finished reading Fallen Too Far! man!! how I love this book, this is definitely one of my favorites, if is not my most favorite book!!! You know this is not the kind of book that you can only read once, this book can be read over and over. Fifty Shades of Grey is also one of those books that you just don't get tired of reading. Even though you know the whole story, you still get excited every time you read it. That's what makes a good book, to an unforgettable book. I actually read Breathe a couple of weeks ago also from Abbi Glines, this book however was more intense! I kept telling Jasmine that this book had some more to it, like more explicit episodes from Jax's part. I also love that book so much, and now even more. I am almost done reading This Man Confessed book # 3 from the Man Series (another of my favorites).

Something to Remember

Last Friday I had an amazing time! I met two of my favorite authors, of course you know who they are. Yes, I am talking about Abbi Glines and Colleen Hoover!! Jamie McGuire was there too. I started reading one of her books, but I never finish it ( I might do it soon) because I think most of the people at the signing were there specially for Jamie's books. Jamie was really well spoken, she looks though, but she is also fun and went to a hard time before she came a famous author. Colleen was the quiet one, really really nice and she truly cares about her books. Abbi is all I imagine to be, she is so uplifting, she is fun and she really reflects that on her books! She is amazing. We were there for an hour or so asking questions, then we waited in line for another hour and a half to get our books sing, but all this was worth it. It is an amazing opportunity to meet them, this is once in a life time. Thanks to Jasmine who went with me and we together had a really good time!

I'm here

I haven't  written anything in a while!!! I guess I still cannot get over the last books I've read. I just haven't find any books that really interest me. That's horrible isn't???? I have been so busy this past weeks, I did however read some books or at least part of some books. I started reading Alligiant by Veronica Roth, I actually had that book pre order and I was so excited about it, but then I read something that I was not suppose to read in Jasmine's blog and I just lost all interest!! I know is my fault but i couldn't wait!! :(

I did read a book called Finding Katie, this book is anonymous but it was edited by Beatrice Sparks same person who edited Go ask Alice. What can I say about this book? I cannot say that I like it because everything that happened was not good. This is real life, all this things happened to a real person. What I did like about the book is that it actually has a happy ending. Katie was born in a rich family, she has always have everything except for her parents love. Her dad was a well know producer from Hollywood and was always busy and abusive. Katie's mom was a drug addict and didn't care for her daughter at all. One that the father took her and left her in the ugly side of LA and like that Katie became homeless. Later on she was found by a social worker and placed her in a foster home and her life just became harder. The one thing about her is that she started to help the other foster kids and by that it helped her to find that meaning in her life. This is a good a book, there is a lot to learn. It is amazing how we don't realize the need for this kids, there are a lot thousands of kids without a home, specially the older kids.  I would definitely recommend this book, it is a hit to reality.

I also read Breathe by Abbi Glines. This is book is one of my absolute favorites! This was actually the very first book that I read from Abbi, and after that I just got obsessed with her books.

Some news!! I am so excited because tomorrow 11/15/13, Jasmine and I are going to see Colleen Hoover and Abbi Glines!!!

Finding Cinderella

by Colleen Hoover!!

I love this short book!!! Remember Daniel from Hopeless? Daniel is Holder's crazy and funny best friend, well this is his book! Now, you remember when the school administration forgot to schedule him for a 5th period class and he used to hide in the maintenance closet to takes naps?? Then if you do, you must remember a girl who bumped inside the closet and at they end up making out. In this book Daniel tries to find this girl but he has not success and ends up with Val. All this is until Six (Sky's best friend) comes back from Europe and all that changes. Awww!! I loved this book is so funny because Daniel is such a character hehe so funny. The ending is such breathtaking and unfinished! I want more!!

Guess what? Colleen Hoover, Abbi Glines and Jamie Mcguire are coming to my State, and I am going to see them with my friend Jasmine Woot Woot!! I actually need to buy some of the books so they can sign it :D I own most of the books online, but I don't have any hard covers :(

Simple Perfection

The newest book by Abbi Glines.

You know that she is my favorite author, but I didn't quiet enjoy this book until almost the end!! I don't really know why, I usually consumed her books right away. This is one actually took me like a week to finish!!! Don't get me wrong I still like this book, and I still love Woods.  I think is Della, I don't really connect with her, there is something about her that I don't like, I don't know... I can't explain it. Another thing that I didn't like about the book is that, this book was as if it was written for new audience. It explains a lot of who the characters are, like Rush and Blaire and I didn't like that. I guess if somebody read the first book twisted perfection, or any of the Fallen too Far Series should already know who each of them are. The end though! the end was surprising, not good surprising, one of the characters dies!!! I couldn't stop crying!! I don't know why Abbi tortured us like that!! I am not telling you who dies, the only thing I will tell you is that, is not one of the main characters pfff!! (imagine how I would feel) :( This book is good, but it's not going to be on my favorites. I am sorry....

This week reads

As many of you know that Abbi Glines is one, if is not my very favorite author of all times!! Some of you know that I work at a Library and I have never been able to find any of Abbi's books in hard cover. I have always read all of  her books in kindle or iBooks. One day I requested hers and Colleen Hoover's books to the manager from another branch, she told me that those books were YA-ish  and she didn't order those books, so I left it like that. The other day I was bored at work and I wanted something to read, and I search for these authors and to my surprise I found that there was a copy of the Vincent Boys from Abbi and Slammed by Colleen Hoover in the branch were I have had requested them. I was so excited that I right away put to the books on hold so they could be shipped to me to the branch were I work at. So one of the books that I read this week is The Vincent Boys by Abbi Glines and as usual I consumed that book in a couple of hours. I love how Abbi Glines writes, I love every one of her books. This is a different book from her series, it is a different story, but it is good as always. The Vincent boys is about Sawyer, Beau and Ashton, three best friends since childhood. Sawyer and Beau are cousins, one is the Prince charming cousin and the other one is the trouble maker. As they grow up, they start noticing that Ashton is becoming a beautiful girl and of course both of them fall for her. Ashton and Sawyer end up together but there is always something missing in their relationship, everything is the same, a perfect relationship between the two of them. One day Sawyer leaves town for vacations and Beau and Ashton start hanging out together and whatever Ashton was missing starts getting filled up by Beau's charisma and dangerous persona.  This is a great book and I of course downloaded the second book right away after I finished this one. The other read of this week is The Vincent Brothers. At the end of the first book, there is a big surprise that these two cousins find out and that leads to this new book. This other book is also really good, but I cannot tell you any of it because I will be letting you know what happened in the first book. :) These two books are a great read and I fully recommend them to you.

Also one highlight of the week is that I wrote a comment on Abbi Glines' facebook page and she commented it back with a lovely "<3"

Forever too Far

Oh My God!!!!
Why is it that I can read these books so easily??!! I have to say again that Abbi Glines is the best!!
I read some other books before, and some they just took me a little more time to finish. The Abbi Glines books are just so easy, so entertaining so perfect! This book is not an exception, is so good, even though Blaire is so pregnant they still have some hot sex!! Rush is just so into his pregnant fiance that loves everything about her, even if she has her big belly. I know a lot of pregnant ladies look so sexy and pretty, it really gives them that glow! Well the pregnancy time is hard for us, it changes everything about your body. So it would be nice to have a supportive husband who thinks you are sexy anyway. Believe me, it helps a lot! Oh my God, I don't know why I am talking about pregnancy???? I love this book! every part of it! I just love these series and how every book connects with the other one. I know there is another book coming up about Grant and Harlow, I am so ready for it!!

Twisted Perfection

OMG!!! One of my favorite books!!!

Twisted Perfection is the third book after Fallen too far and Never too Far by Abbi Glines. Those two books were already on my top favorite list. She is deff one the best!!

This book is so hot! I always liked Woods, even from the first book when he was in love with Blaire but she ended up choosing the bad guy. So it is good that Abbi wanted to write about the good guy who ends up lonely. She actually twisted everything he is so naughty in this book and that's what I liked about it, that he is so nice but so different from the first two books. In this book Woods has a one night stand with Della, who is passing through Rosemary town looking for adventure, and at the same time leaving the terrors from her past life. They actually had an amazing time together, idk how many times they did it and this book is really explicit about. Well, she leaves town leaving a mark on Woods life. Woods is actually getting engage when Della comes back and just can't continue, this is a must to read!! I really loved the book

OMG and that ending!! I can't wait for Fall (Not that I want the summer to be over) but I want to read it so bad!!

Fallen/Never too far

Fallen too Far, definitely one of my favorite books by Abbi Glines.

Blaire, whose mom died a couple of days ago, moves to Rosemary beach looking for her father who she hasn't seen in five years after her twin sister died. Blaire meets Rush, he is the son of a famous rock star and also the eldest son of Georgiana, Blaire's step mother. At first, Rush makes Blaire's life miserable because she thought she was not welcome there. Rush wanted to be away from her because of a secret, he wanted to protect his sister Nan, which is also really mean to Blaire. At the end they both fall in love but soon after she finds out the secret and runs away to her town. I mean all this it's really vague, the way I describe it but  this is an awesome story, I loved it. I definitely add this book as one of my favorite books and I really recommend it.

Never too Far actually came out today! This is the second book. Good, I didn't have to wait too long to read it. I only waited one day to read it after I finished with fallen too far.

This second part is about Blaire coming back to Rosemary beach where Rush lives. There is a good reason why she comes back. Rush is all happy and excited to see Blaire back, but that doesn't mean that she would be with him. Basically this book is about Rush gaining Blaire's trust back but in order for that he needs to do much more. His family is actually the main obstacle between Rush and Blaire. A horrible accident happen that makes this book more interesting and got me crying until the end of the book. The book actually had a nice ending and I am happy how it came out. I can't tell you more because I actually beat Jasmine to read it and I know she wouldn't like me spoiling the story.

Abbi Glines is definitely one of the best authors ever!!!

Because of Low

I started reading Because of Low by Abbi Glines but I haven't been able to finish reading it. I do like the book in general, I just think that if this book wasn't a continuation of Breathe the other book I read before, it would have been better. When I read Breathe I liked Marcus,  but in this other book not so much and I don't know why. It could be that in the first book he was the other guy, the guy that is nice and cute but for some reason the main character falls in love with the bad guy or the rock star.  I kind of remember Marcus as the other guy and it's kind of hard to think of him as a main character. I don't know, I like the book, I do want to finish reading it so I can continue with other books.

 continuation....

Ok, I just finished the book, and I liked the ending. Basically, the second part of the book was a lot more interesting than the first part. I like the plot and for that moment I saw the real Marcus, I saw him as the main character of this book and the story between him and Low. I do want to tell you that I liked the ending for one thing specially. Despite of his father's affair, his father didn't go back to her wife and lived happily ever after( this doesn't mean that I am proud of what he did) I am not, but I was kind of expecting for the father to noticed what he did and go back running to his wife and family,  but instead he stayed with Low's sister and Larissa, and everybody moved on.

Breathe

Another recent book, also by Abbi Glines, Breathe.

This book is really good and really easy to read. Sadie moved to Alabama with her pregnant, lazy, childlike mother Jessica. Sadie started working at a rich house and she soon finds out that the house is own by Jax, a young rock star. This really didn't matter to Sadie at first because she wasn't for anything other than work,  they needed that money. Jax only uses that house as a getaway from his busy life during the summer. Sadie is a blond girl with big blue eyes and long lashes, and of course Jax falls for her really easy. Their relationship didn't last long due to Jax busy life and that becomes a problem for Sadie as well. Jax ends up living Sadie alone with her mother and her little baby brother. Sadie goes through a lot with Jessica having postpartum depression and a baby born who cries a lot during the night. After a little while, after all those problems for Sadie she suffered an accident and she ends up in a coma for some days, until one day that she listened  Jax singing for her and she wakes up. Do they end up together? Find out. :)

Recent Books

New Books!

These three books by Abbi Glines, Existence, Predestined and Ceaseless.

Pagan, a high school girl who sees lost souls. She does not know why she sees these creatures, the lost souls don't talk to her, but she knows they are there. It was until one day, after vacations when she saw this really cute guy, who she knew it was a soul or she thought he was a soul, but this time he talked to her. Dank, was not a lost soul, he was DEATH and he was there to take her. Dank and Pagan started talking, she liked him since the very first moment she saw him and Dank felt the same way for her. It was then, when Pagan had a car accident where she was supposed to die, but he saved her. Pagan was dating Leif another cute, high school student but there is more of him a lot more that we found out more on the second book Predestine.

For some odd reason, I confused book three for book two and  I read book three Ceaseless.

I was  a little confused at the beginning, because it seamed that the book started brand new again. Pagan didn't know who Dank was, but Dank was still in love with Pagan. One of Pagan's high school friend Weight had died and I had no idea why and how he died. (all that is also in book two).
It is really hard to understand how can a real human can fall in love with DEATH. The week when I started reading the books I was scared. I don't really get scared by ghost or death, but the books go a little more detail about all of this, that make you think  more about life after death.  I finished with book three and I obviously didn't go back and read book number two, but there were some things that I was confused. At the end I decided to go back and read it, and I am glad because it clarified a lot of things that I didn't understand from book three.

????????????????
